The Lagos State Government has sealed four establishments, including a church and a fuel station, for environmental violations.
This enforcement action, carried out by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, took place in Gbagada, Ogudu, Ojodu, and Agidingbi.
State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the closures on his X handle, emphasizing that the establishments were shut down for failing to comply with environmental standards despite previous warnings.
The sealed locations include Divine Perfection Ministry, Eagle Paints Nigeria Limited, Daveoris Global Ventures Limited, and Ene Global. This initiative aims to combat noise pollution and enhance environmental sustainability in the state.
“This action is part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for all Lagosians,” Wahab stated.
