Senator Monday Okpebholo has been sworn in as the governor of Edo State.
The swearing-in took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The event occurred in the presence of the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the outgoing Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu, the Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, and the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulraza Abdulrahman.
His swearing-in alongside his running mate, Dennis Idahosa, comes two months after the duo clinched the ticket to the Dennis Osadebay House.
The duo who are of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) backed by Godwin Obaseki who led the state from 2016.
