Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, joined the ongoing protest in Lagos State on Tuesday.
As one of the key organizers of the demonstration, Sowore arrived at the protest ground near the Ikeja Underbridge at approximately 8:50 a.m.
The protesters gathered at the Ikeja Underbridge in Lagos State as Nigeria marked its 64th Independence Day.
The protest is being closely monitored by a large contingent of security personnel, including officers from the police, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
