10 man Arsenal held defending champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad stadium on Sunday in a match that could be described as clash of titans
Erling Haaland put City ahead in the 9th minute of the game but the Citizens were put to the sword shortly after as Arsenal came from behind to claim the lead at half time with goals from new signee, Ricardo Calafiori and Gabriel Mangalhaes
Leonardo Trosard was shown a second yellow card in the first half for kicking the ball away after the whistle had gone for a free kick. The decision brought the gunners to a near impossible position to get away with any point in the game despite leading 2-1 at half time
Arsenal were strong in defense through the game and they looked the winners of the match despite having just 1 shot on goal throughout the second half until the last minute of the game when super substitute John stones scored a rebound from close range to bring the game to a draw.
Tension rose between the two teams as Arsenal were left with no option but to waste as much time as they could to ensure they walked away with a point.
