Dangote, Dantata donate N2.5bn to Borno flood victims

Elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, on Tuesday, donated a sum of N1.5 billion to flood victims that ravaged some parts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital recently.

Dantata, accompanied by a delegation from Kano, presented the donation at the Government House in Maiduguri, extending his condolences to Governor Babagana Zulum, the state government, and the people affected by the recent floods.

Dantata criticized the country’s economic decline and called on elites and political leaders to act with integrity and faith. He also prayed for peace and harmony for Borno State and Nigeria.

Governor Zulum thanked Dantata for his generous support and compassionate visit, noting that it has provided much-needed hope and solidarity during this difficult time.

“The people of Borno deeply appreciate this show of magnanimity by a 96-year-old to visit us. Let me announce it, Our Baba has donated the sum of N1.5 billion to support the flood victims,” Zulum said.

This donation follows a recent contribution from Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Dantata’s nephew, who gave N1 billion to support the flood victims.
