Popular music director and cinematographer, ThankGod Omori Smith, widely known as TG Omori, has disclosed that he recently experienced a failed kidney transplant.
In a previous update on X, the 29-year-old, who had been absent from the public eye for some time, shared that his only brother had volunteered to donate one of his kidneys.
He wrote, “Yesterday my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,”
In addition, the music director took to his Instagram story to share pictures of himself on a hospital bed receiving oxygen.
Captioning the photos, he wrote, “keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”
However, in a recent update, TG Omori disclosed that the kidney transplant was unsuccessful and asked the public for prayers during this challenging period. “One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant at St. Nicolas, Lagos. Pray for me,” he posted on X.
The news has prompted an outpouring of support and well-wishes from fans and the public.
