NSE Hosts Maiden ABUAD Industrial Park Trade Fair

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ekiti state branch on Thursday held the maiden Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) Industrial Park Trade Fair as a result of its contribution to sustainable and prosperous economy.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the trade fair, the branch chairman, Professor Olusegun Aluko said the purpose of the association is to project any establishment that embrace technology, in the execution of their activities towards driving a sustainable and prosperous economy of the country.

He hailed the founder of the University, Aare Afe Babalola for creating such hub, stressing that the trade fair is designed to enhance the performance of the Industrial Park by increasing the opportunity for research and industry collaboration.

He added that the heart blowing activities exhibited by the Park necessitated the association to invite raw materials producers, finished products marketers, tech innovators as well as technology-related educational institutions whose research would be useful to further enhance the park.

His words, “ABUAD Industrial Park is a technology hub that is designed to bridge the gap between research and industry.

“It is simply heart blowing, it therefore behooves me to commend the genius behind this great happening, Aare Afe Babalola.

“The main goal of NSE and this event is to promote industry like ABUAD Industrial Park who embrace technology. ABUAD Industrial Park is a pointer to the possibility of Ekiti becoming a sustainable and prosperous economy.

“To promote ABUAD Industrial Park, NSE resolved to increase publicity about it s existence by organizing this Trade Fair. The trade fair is also designed to enhance the performance of the park by increasing the opportunity for research and industry collaborations.”

In her remark, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Smaranda Olarinde stated that Aare Afe Babalola established the institution not just for educational purpose but to make impact in the lives of Nigerians.

This according to her, made him to create the Industrial Park so that the University will not only be a theoretical-based citadel of learning.
