Police – Three Survivors Pulled From Rubble In Abuja Building Collapse

Following the collapse of a four-story building in Abuja yesterday evening, three people were rescued, according to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

As per the statement provided by SP Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer, the structure at Unity House, Area 11 by Nkwere Street fell at approximately 8:40 the night.

The three victims were rescued and the area was closed off by a team of officers led by FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, who swiftly responded to the distress call.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and FCT Development Control have assumed control of the area for additional management after the casualties were hurried to the hospital for medical assistance.
There have been no confirmed deaths, and the reason behind the fall is still unknown.


In Adeh’s own words: “The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, hurriedly arrived at the location with several patrol teams in order to establish a perimeter and prepare the area for potential rescue.
