CAF have officially Postponed the 2025 African Cup of Nations Tournament by 6 months. The competition will now take place on Dec 21, 2025 to Jan 18, 2026
The competition is set to be held in Morocco who initially proposed the summer of 2025 for the tournament, but this clashes with the newly-designed FIFA Club World Cup that will attract 32 clubs from around the world.
The newly initiated FIFA tournament is set to kickstart in June 15 till July 13, 2025 causing Fixture Congestion for players hence the postponement of the African Cup of Nations
The Competition was earlier slated for July till August, 2025 but will now start in December, 2025 till January, 2026.
