News reaching gmartnews says that a ticket collector on Tuesday was shot dead in broad daylight by some unknown gunmen around Oke Isa roundabout, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The incident, which happened in the early hours of the day took the life of the man, whose identity remained anonymous.
The man, who was one those issuing tickets to commercial motorcyclists was shot dead by the gunmen, who according to eye witness ran away immediately after perpetrating the evil act.
The Chairman of Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State, Kunle Asaolu confirmed that the man was one of those working with the association.
Also, the spokesperson for Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident, adding that investigation has commenced.
The corpse has been deposited at the Ekiti State Teaching hospital morgue.
