BAYERN LEVERKUSEN COMPLETE INVISIBLE SEASON, SETS EYE ON HISTORIC TREBLE

Bayern Leverkusen have completed an invisible season in the Geman Bundesliga after going 34 games unbeaten with 28 wins, 6 draws and 0 loss.

Bayer Leverkusen completed their unbeaten Bundesliga campaign by beating Augsburg 2-1 on Saturday.

Having wrapped up the title several weeks ago, the final league match of the season was always set to be a joyous occasion for Alonso’s men in front of their home fans, and they did not disappoint.

The hosts took the lead through Victor Boniface inside 12 minutes and then doubled their advantage 15 minutes later thanks to Robert Andrich. Augsburg pulled on back in the 62nd minute but it wasn’t enough to grab any point against the German champions elect.

Leverkusen had never won a league title in their 120-year history prior to this season, but they romped away with the Bundesliga this time around, finishing on 90 points from 34 matches

The German champions are also on the verge of sealing a historic treble with two finals to play for. Winning both finals will see Leverkusen become the first club in history of football to win a treble unbeaten.
