The Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command has apprehended one 24-yr-old Lady (name withheld) for throwing her one year and four months baby inside a well.
This revealed in a statement signed by the public relations officer of the command, SP Bright Edafe.
According to him, the lady who lives in Araya community of Isoko South committed the dastardly act because she could no longer take care of the baby.
He said, “The suspect is a 24-year-old lady who lives in Araya community in Isoko South. She threw her one year and four months baby inside a well on 24th April 2024.
“Children who went to play around the well after three days found the baby floating after drowning.
“According to her, she committed the dastardly act because she could no longer take care of the baby. The suspect is in custody and investigation is ongoing.”
