Police Trust Fund Commissions New Divisional HQ in Ekiti

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), through the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, has commissioned a new Divisional Police Headquarters and six-man rank-and-file accommodation in Ekiti State to enhance intelligence gathering, operational coordination and community engagement.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the Trust Fund Executive Secretary, Mohammed Sheidu, described the project as a strategic investment aimed at strengthening modern, responsive and people-centred policing. He said improved infrastructure and decent accommodation would boost officers’ morale, discipline and professionalism.

Sheidu noted that the initiative forms part of a nationwide effort to rehabilitate and construct critical police facilities, including stations, barracks, training colleges and healthcare centres.

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, represented by his Chief of Staff, Oyeniyi Adebayo, commended the Federal Government’s support for security in the state, stressing that peace and safety remain key to economic growth. He appealed for additional infrastructure to further strengthen the state command.

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joe Eribo, represented by P.T Nyatse, assured residents that the facilities would be properly maintained and effectively deployed to improve service delivery and protect lives and property.
