Bagudu Praises Idris as Kebbi APC Elects New Executives

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has commended the peaceful conduct of the All Progressives Congress state congress, describing it as a milestone that reaffirmed unity within the party.

The congress, held at the FIFA Stadium in Birnin Kebbi, attracted delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state. Idris said the smooth transition from ward to local government and state levels reflected discipline and cohesion among members.

He congratulated the newly elected executives and thanked party stakeholders for sustaining harmony, pledging to consolidate on the foundation laid by previous leaders.

Former governor and current Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, described the orderly exercise as evidence of inclusive leadership and effective consultation under Idris. He also credited the governor with mobilising northern stakeholders in support of President Bola Tinubu.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Abubakar Dambo, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the congress, which saw Alhaji Abubakar Kana-Zuru re-elected as state chairman alongside 29 other officials ahead of the 2027 elections.
