PDP Denies Holding Congresses Nationwide

The Peoples Democratic Party has denied holding congresses anywhere in the country, describing reports of planned exercises as false and politically motivated.

Factional National Chairman Kabiru Turaki (SAN) accused expelled members allegedly aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC) of spreading the claims to destabilise the party.

He said the PDP is currently focused on digital membership registration and urged members to ignore any information about congresses.

The clarification comes amid internal rifts, with a bloc linked to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike insisting its planned national convention will proceed despite objections from the Turaki-led faction.
