The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Engr Ade Adetimehin, was reportedly assaulted on Tuesday after armed thugs disrupted a stakeholders’ meeting at the party’s secretariat in Akure.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers stormed the venue during the meeting, triggering panic and chaos as participants scrambled for safety. Several attendees were reportedly assaulted in the process.
Adetimehin was seen on the ground shortly after the incident, surrounded by party members and sympathisers as the situation unfolded.
