Lagos Police Step Up Security on Mile 12–Ketu Over Robbery Claims

The Lagos State Police Command has ordered increased security patrols along the Mile 12–Ketu corridor following reports of robbery attacks on motorists circulating on social media.

An X user, @lollypeezle, alleged on Monday that armed youths were attacking vehicles around Mile 12, claiming some attempted to force open car doors despite the presence of police stations in the area.

Reacting, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, said the Commissioner of Police had directed the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer and tactical teams to intensify operations and prevent further incidents.

She urged residents and motorists to promptly report suspicious activities through the command’s emergency lines to ensure swift security response.
