The Ekiti State Government has distributed food items and cash to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to cushion economic hardship and promote inclusion.
Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, Adetoun Agboola, said the initiative reflects Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s commitment to the welfare and rights of PWDs.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti at an event tagged “From Exclusion to Empowerment”, she urged beneficiaries to take advantage of government empowerment schemes, including free healthcare and vocational training programmes.

Agboola said the administration has upgraded special schools, established therapy centres and launched an eight-month skills training programme to help PWDs become economically independent.
Beneficiaries described the support as timely relief amid economic challenges.
