Major listed brewers in Nigeria recorded a combined revenue of over ₦1.54tn from beer and non-alcoholic drinks in the first nine months of 2025, reflecting sustained consumer spending on brewery products despite economic pressures.
An analysis of unaudited financial statements from Nigerian Breweries Plc, International Breweries Plc, and Champion Breweries Plc shows that beer sales remained the primary revenue driver during the period ended September 30, 2025.

Nigerian Breweries Plc, the industry leader, posted ₦1.05tn in revenue, up from ₦710.87bn in 2024, and returned to profitability with a ₦85.51bn profit after tax, compared with a ₦149.5bn loss a year earlier. The company attributed the rebound to improved pricing, volume growth and cost management.
International Breweries Plc recorded revenue of ₦472.57bn, reversing a prior-year loss to post a ₦57.83bn profit, while Champion Breweries Plc reported ₦21.44bn in revenue and a ₦2.05bn profit, up sharply from 2024 levels.
Analysts say the results underline the resilience of Nigeria’s beer market, supported by strong brand loyalty and extensive distribution networks, even as rising costs and shifting consumer preferences continue to shape industry strategies.
