BUA Chairman Rabiu Pledges $1.5m Reward for Super Eagles’ AFCON Glory

BUA Group Chairman and Founder, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged hefty financial rewards to the Super Eagles following their 2-0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

In a statement shared on his X handle on Saturday, Rabiu congratulated the team for lifting national morale and announced a $500,000 cash reward if Nigeria wins the semi-final, alongside $50,000 for every goal scored.

He further promised $1 million should the Super Eagles clinch the AFCON title, with an additional $100,000 per goal in the final.

Nigeria booked a semi-final spot after defeating Algeria at the Stade de Marrakech and will face host nation Morocco on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
