Shock in Ibadan as Popular Woman Is Found Mutilated in Suspected Ritual Murder

A woman popularly known as Iya Dupe has been found dead under shocking circumstances in the Aba Alfa area of Boluwaji, Ibadan, Oyo State. Residents say she was last seen on Monday night when she stepped out to buy bread but never returned home.

Her lifeless body was discovered early Tuesday morning, sparking panic across the community. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers gruesomely mutilated her body, her head, breasts, and internal organs were removed, pointing to a possible ritual killing.

The incident has thrown the neighbourhood into fear, with residents calling on security agencies to urgently investigate the growing trend of ritual-related murders in the state. Community members have also appealed for increased patrols and better lighting in vulnerable areas to prevent similar tragedies.
