Super Eagles Humble Gabon, Advance to Play-Off Final

The Super Eagles of Nigeria cruised into the World Cup Qualifiers play-off final after a commanding 4–1 victory over Gabon in Thursday’s semi-final clash.

Nigeria took the lead through Akor Adams, but Gabon’s Mario Lemina forced extra time with a late deflected equaliser.

Substitute Chidera Ejuke quickly restored Nigeria’s lead in extra time, before Victor Osimhen sealed the win with two decisive goals. The Galatasaray striker had earlier missed a golden chance to win it in stoppage time.

The Super Eagles will now face the winner between DR Congo and Cameroon in Sunday’s final, with the victor advancing to the World Cup intercontinental play-offs in March.
