The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has appealed to Nigerians who lost money to the Crypto bridge Exchange (CBEX) investment fraud to visit its Ibadan and Lagos offices to support ongoing inquiries.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Oyewale noted that the Commission is presently arraigning three individuals — Adefowora Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Chukwuebuka — over their alleged complicity in the scheme.

The agency explained that CBEX enticed unsuspecting Nigerians with promises of exorbitant returns on investment, which eventually resulted in massive financial setbacks for hundreds of participants. The fraudulent outfit reportedly operated from offices in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Idimu, Lagos, where victims deposited funds that became irretrievable.
“In light of the above, and to enable the Commission advance its ongoing investigation, the EFCC is urging victims who committed their resources through persons associated with the CBEX offices in Ibadan and Idimu, Lagos, to present themselves at its Ibadan Zonal Command and Lagos Zonal Command 2,”the statement added.
