Residents Stranded As Flood Takes Over Street in Ekiti

Residents and motorists plying Ayemi area along Iworoko Road in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on Tuesday were stranded following a heavy downpour that led to severe flooding.

According to reports, the flood, which has overflowed the bridge in the area, left road users frustrated and unable to pass.

Despite several rehabilitation efforts on the bridge, the structure continues to pose significant risks to lives and property, raising concerns about the sustainability of government interventions.

A resident, Bolaji Adewale, expressed disappointment over the recurring issue, calling on the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, to intervene urgently.
