NUC Grants EKSU Accreditation On 18 Academic Programs

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 18 new academic programmes at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, marking what the institution described as a major leap in its academic advancement.

Directorate of Information, Bode Olofinmuagun, in a statement released on Monday, said the approval was communicated in a letter dated April 30, 2025, and signed by the NUC’s Executive Secretary.

“The development also reaffirms EKSU’s growing reputation as the best state university in Nigeria according to the Times Higher Education 2025 universities ranking,” he stated.

According to the letter, the newly accredited programmes include, M.Sc. Business Administration, Master of Personnel Management, M.Sc. Finance, ⁠Master of Public Adminstration, Master of Business Administration, Art, Arabic Studies, ⁠Islamic Studies, and Philosophy.

Others are Building and Woodwork Technology Education, Electrical and Electronic Technology Education, Metal and Auto Mechanic Technology Education, ⁠Education Christian Religious Studies, Civil Engineering, ⁠Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Law, Geology and Psychology.

The Vice Chancellor in response thanked the Governor and visitor to the university, H.E Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his role is making the accreditation possible
