Suspected bandits have attacked Waje community in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killing 15 farmers and injuring three others.

The Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Tafida, who represented Governor Nasir Idris during a condolence visit to the residence of the District Head of Waje, expressed sympathy over the tragic incident and announced a donation from the state government to support the victims’ families.

He described the gesture as a modest effort by the government to assist the bereaved families and the injured during this difficult time.

Senator Tafida also assured the community that the state government would take necessary steps to address insecurity and ensure farmers can safely return to their farmlands.
