AIG Ajani Omolabi Addresses stakeholders, policemen in Ekiti state

…Seeks robust relationship between stakeholders and citizens towards curbing crime

The zone 17 Acting Inspector General of Police, AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi , PSC(+) today called on stakeholders, members of the public to cooperate with the police in a bid to tackle the menace of criminality in three state.

This was disclosed in a stakeholders meeting which was held at the commands police officer mess in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

Addressing news men was the CP, Joseph Eribo who said the maiden tour and visit of the state by the zone 17 Acting Inspector General of Police, AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi is proof that the state is experiencing tremendous growth especially in the area of security.

Speaking at the event , the AIG Ajani Musibau Omolabi tasked stakeholders to have a robust relationship with the police in order to successfully tackle crime in the state.

“I want to use this opportunity to tell our stakeholders to let them know I am here to work

We are going to have a robust relationship with members of the public, so we need the support of the stakeholder as that is the only way we can combat the menace of insecurity is through partnership.

Please See police as your friend he added.

He also sent a stern warning to criminal elements in the state, urging them to shun criminality or face the wrath of the law.

“To those criminal elements who have chosen the path of crime, we will fish them out and make sure they face the wrath of the law”

Those present at the meeting are Members of the BCRC, Heads of Federal establishment ,Chairman of the Hoteliers, Members of the NURTW, Members of the motorcycle riders association ,Traditional leaders,Union leaders.
