Indigents of Ijero Ekiti were yet again treated to another kind gesture from the Hand Of Grace Kitchen initiative as it distributes food items to the elderly and vulnerable in the state.
The initiative is aimed at assisting the elderly, less privileged and the vulnerable ones in the society by providing food items during the Easter season.
People turned up in their large numbers to receive their food items with the use of special identification cards provided by HOG initiative.
The food items includes Rice, Beans, Garri, among other items.
Some volunteers / Beneficiaries appreciated the organization for its consistency towards giving back to the community and putting smiles on the faces of the elderlies, vulnerable and poor people in Ijero Ekiti.
“This is the third time I and my family are benefiting from this kind gesture from Hand of Grace kitchen initiative, may God keep elevating them so they will even do for people outside Ijero and hopefully outside Ekiti”.
When asked if the gesture only focuses on Ekiti state, she stated that the initiative plans to widen their scope outside Ekiti state.
“In our community, the strength of our bonds lies in how we care for one another. Today, we renew our commitment to support and uplift older adults, widows, and those in need. It is not only a duty but a privilege to share in our brothers’ and sisters’ joys and challenges.
Through these acts of giving, we aim to demonstrate love, compassion, and solidarity. Whether providing meals, offering financial support, or simply spending time with those who may feel alone, every effort matters. We can ensure everyone feels valued, respected, and cared for.
“Let us continue to build a community where kindness reigns, and no one is left behind. To older adults, we honor your wisdom and experience; to the widows, we stand with you in strength and resilience; and to people in need, we extend a helping hand filled with hope.” She added.
